First off, bait image-
I’m thinking of installing a different android on my crapphone, it’s an lg k5 if that matters, cheapest phone I could buy cash while I finish paying off the iphone6 I smashed. Anywho, it’s only an 8gb phone and over half is taken up by useless t-mobile apps and such, I barely have anything on there and it still doesn’t even have space to update the few apps I do have. I’m reasonably competent, I was a compsci major in college and use Linux fairly regularly but have never modified a phone at all, where do I start? Thanks in advance, you are now free to wonder why the above image showed up in results for rally smart car.

See if you can even root it. That’s the important part.

Mmmmmm crossblade <3
Anyway, it looks like while you can root your phone, I don’t think there are any ROMs. There aren’t many devs making ROMs for MTK hardware. I only found 1 legit looking site for K5 ROMs, and usually any ROMs they’d have would also be on XDA Developers, so idk what’s going on there.
